What the Priestess is up to
Dear Ones,
With the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, just days away, I wish us all a sweet turning of the year. Shana tova umetukah.
I have been quiet in this space for a while as my life has gone through some big changes. Some have been wonderful and others very hard. I’ve had big career growth and new relationships this year, and I’ve also experienced gruelling burnout, sickness, death, and heartbreak. All in the spiral of life, right?!
The biggest change in my work is that I have joined the clergy team at the Danforth Jewish Circle.
This has been a major milestone in my life as a Kohenet, and as a Queer, Feminist, Jewish leader in Toronto. While I am still working as a freelance Priestess: Officiating weddings, facilitating Red Tent circles, and offering spiritual guidance to folks one-on-one, my (un)service leadership has shifted from solo offerings through Matanot Lev | Gifts of the Heart to being part of a team at the Danforth Jewish Circle. If you are seeking radically, inclusive Jewish community in Toronto where you can be your Queer, wrestling-with-or-inspired-by-Judaism self, whether Jewish or not, come join me here.

I will be co-leading all the main services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with Rabbi Ilyse and David and I will also be leading a Matanot Lev | Gifts of the Heart style chanting and Kavannah journey into yourself with company during Yom Kippur afternoon Community-led sessions at 2PM.

Harvest Fair at Creative Clay
My work focuses on expressions of the Sacred Feminine. My collection of mini goddesses, bigger goddess vases, reversible trees of life and Yoni pots will be showcased and available for purchase live and in person at Creative Clay Studio during this neighborhood Harvest Fair. Come check out my work and that of my studio mates and buy some locally made pottery for yourself and/or your people.
